70 duster getting some boost..

-
Great build an all, but, how can you handle a stupid amount of power like this? What about those people on the street that are in harms way because you've got big balls? Don't tell me you aren't gonna get on it on the street.

Don't get stuck in the 70's! Big power street cars are everywhere now. It is NOTHING to have 750 -1200 HP or even a heck of a lot more on tap and driven on the street everywhere.

I don't plan on going 150 mph down the 25mph neighborhood streets.. the car will be on the street for cruise nights, meets, shows, trip to the drags or whatever.. and to handle the power if I do lay in it will be handled with lower boost settings.. its like a street bike.. just because my zx10 can go 190 doesn't mean im gonna do it...

Well, this car doesn't appear to have sticky modern compound tires with 17+ rims, big brakes, ABS or traction control, or any of the things that the cars 'everywhere' have to control that power. So it isn't me that's stuck in the 70's. Glad to hear your not gonna drive like a teenager. Thanks!

since when is a 325 drag radial not a sticky tire? it has 2 4 piston calipers on each wheel in the back and 4 piston wilwoods on the front.. so that's a lot of brakes.. and I don't think that 17+ wheels help at all with traction..

PoisonDart, do you just troll builds and find something negative to say, you did a good job hacking apart the Hotchkis car. If you dont have something nice to say maybe find another thread to read.

by the way, rgreule, awesome car! Keep up the good work, I have been following the build and admiring the craftsmanship!

That is once Very true statement. I have noticed that about that guy.

He hasn't seen my Scamp yet I don't think anyway. He would more than likely have a mouthful for it also! I have learned there are guys the talk **** and guys that do it. Take a pick at which one he might be?

All I can say to that guy is........ :thefinge:

How the hell did I miss this build before?? This is gonna be a full tilt bravo alpha ride. Can't wait to see more! :)

Mad Dart, I need to catch up on yours too...you both make me want to spend money I don't have so I'll at least have all the parts waiting for my Mustang when I retire from the AF in 3 years.

I don't know how I missed this build. Outstanding job. For the first time fabricating headers, they are very well executed. Beautiful fab work. Alot of people do not understand the amount of work here. Way to stick with it. What color is it going to be? I can't wait to see it done. By the way Maddart, that is some very nice work also.

thanks man..

the color is going to be b5 blue off of the new challengers..

like this one

BUTTT.. part of me wants to paint it silver to..

Nice choice. I can't wait to see it in color and running. Keep up the great work. A pat on the back for making it a driver. That to me has always been the fun part. Sounds like Drag Week material........

a little update..

got the fuel cell mounted in.. turned out pretty nice

got the wilwood drag brake kit in..

mounting the HDK in there.. everything fits awesome.. the tires are tucked in so much better with this vs the stock track width..

Looking awesome. Hoping for a ride when its running.

Lookin good in....and under the 'hood....

Nice job Ryan

HemiDenny pointed me here. I just read the entire thread. I'm floored.
Amazing skills. You upgraded enough stuff during this build to do a whole
other car! And I hope your UPS man recovers from his hernia operation.

Brother John,
