Looking for a sandable primer but also one that seals out moisture. I know they make it, I can't recall the name of it for the likes of me. :banghead:

It should say DTM (direct to metal) somewhere on the can. Pro form makes it and it seams like decent primer. Sands easily and isn't to expensive. It's high build 4:1 ratio.

Yup look for " direct to metal" " corrosion resistant" or similar language, all major paint cos make products that will fit the bill. Don't be afraid to walk into a supply store and ask if their paint line has something like what you're looking for.

i'm not paint expert but I think any type primer as that still needs a sealer. the DTM I figure is an epoxy and when you read the info it will state mix the reducer with it when usin it as sealer. like he said its very thick, I don't think the brand I have is good for sandin. experts wuill probably tell you to use K2 sanding primer over the DTM????? the K2's are thick and fill well. again. the more knowledge need to tell ya if i'm correct.......

I would use an epoxy prier first then 2K primer or polyester prime.

So when you sand the primer and start to see the epoxy primer color showing you know your getting close the metal/body filler etc.
