Hi, i´m in the market for a new converter, too. The old one was damaged few days ago at the strip....i thought about the TA 17805 too.
It´s a 10" unit, there are three different versions (original one, Medium, tight one). I use the car also mostly street with a moderate 408 and 3.73 Gears, according to the info on TA Homepage i think about the 17805ST, the tight Version. It seems that this one will stall around 3500 rpm in my application, but will be better for street driving than the loose one........don´t exactly know what to do, have not enough experience with converters.......
