Finally Some Pictures of my 1969 Dodge Dart GT

So I finally finished taking the motor down so I can paint the block and heads. It was surprisingly clean inside. I have a set of cast valve covers that CudaChick (Leanna) is going to be powder coating for me, so I just decided to leave the valve covers that came on the car bolted on.

I also picked up a replacement windshield wiper motor from a FABO member. He does outstanding work.

I also had a chance to go visit the guy doing my body work today. He has started dissecting the roof section of my car. Eventually it will be a completely new roof from the top of the A-posts all the way back. He also has to replace the drip rails because they had apparently rotted from moisture trapped under the old vinyl top. Here you can see the main section of roof removed and some pictures of the car with no top (maybe I should install a sunroof). The last picture shows all the holes in the original roof that the bondo that we covered it in found and seeped through to the inside(little white spots).

I am hoping to get the motor painted tomorrow, then I can start piecing some stuff back together. Next I need to focus on the grille work and I am getting ready to refurbish the heater/AC box (even though the car will not have AC when we are done).
