Looking into buying a better converter matched to my combo but a little worried that it might be too loose of a converter for the street. By the street I mean, driving on the freeway at 3000rpm at 65mph and around town driving. This model is the Loose version and is an 11" rated at 3500rpm stall. Anyone used them or can offer up any personal use advice? This is going into a 70% street 30% strip vehicle that I drive every weekend. Currently have a B&M and its not the best for my current combo. This is going in:
69 Dart
360 10:1
Ported X Heads
Comp Cams XE284H
TTI's
750CFM Carb
Dual Plane Edelbrock
THanks

when in doubt call Paul at Turbo Action

Hi, i´m in the market for a new converter, too. The old one was damaged few days ago at the strip....i thought about the TA 17805 too.

It´s a 10" unit, there are three different versions (original one, Medium, tight one). I use the car also mostly street with a moderate 408 and 3.73 Gears, according to the info on TA Homepage i think about the 17805ST, the tight Version. It seems that this one will stall around 3500 rpm in my application, but will be better for street driving than the loose one........don´t exactly know what to do, have not enough experience with converters.......

If you call Turbo Action please let us know what they recommend!

Send Turbo Action an email along with ALL the specifications of your engine-diff-tire size information. This is the only way a quality converter builder can get you the right converter for YOUR APPLICATION.

I'm also thinking about that one. Not sure if I want the Tight or the Medium. Turbo Action recommends the medium on their web site. This is my combo:
