Have someone sit in the driver's seat and turn the wheel back and forth a small amount and you get under the car (with it on it's wheels) and put your hand on each steering joint and find where the looseness is located. It can be in several joints. It cna also be in the ball joints and in the control arm bushings. YOu have a lot of places to check.
