Connected power to it with no results. Still need to do the research to find out if there is an internal fuse, as even the lighting on it is inop.

I fix these radios all the time. There's no internal fuse. Usually the big electrolytic caps are all dried out and need to be replaced. The value is not real critical but the minimum voltage is. If it's not too rusty it probably can be fixed. PM me if you're interested, I'm very reasonable and don't charge if it can't be fixed.
 
Is the electrolytic cap the item on the left front of the radio above, and left of the knob?
