Default edelbrock carb settings

So here is an update:

After a lot of adjusting I couldn't get the engine to idle at a low RPM. I finally pulled the carb and noticed that it was leaking fuel on the inside so I did another rebuild, but this time followed the instructions close as best I could. I have a few questions but I'll put that in another thread.

One thing I noticed was that the instructions had me set the electric choke 2 lines above the middle line. On my carb that made it too lean. When I changed it to 2 lines bellow the middle line it fired up right away!

The other thing was I had to burb the coolant using this method.

Then I had to mess around with the settings on my perma-cool fan control unit. I was disappointed at how you adjust the temp at which the fans turn on, no feedback and the screw just keeps turning. (I plan on making my own later on)

Well It also turned out that I had my fan's polarity reversed (pushing air from engine bay out the front) so I will be fixing that later on as well. But for now it stays at a normal temp at idle while parked.
