carbon fiber valve covers

anyone ever heard of K&N making carbon fiber valve covers for smallblocks? A friend of mine has a set, from the mid-late 90's I believe he said, and they have never been installed on an engine. im snagging them for $75, still in the original box. ill post pics and part numbers when I receive them on Monday.
