340 engine serial decode

Hello all I need some help I have a 69 dart 340 car engine serial says lw340p27730436 what does that mean and is there any other way to see if the engine matches my car thanks.
 
those numbers are from the engine factory and assembly date
you need the numbers on the passenger side by the oil pan rail on the machined boss to get the VIN
 
Look just above the oil pan rail for the flat spot on the block as shown in the bottom circle "A". The other circles show where you can get the casting date and shift for your block. Make sure that you are looking on the side with the oil filter.

Here's a closer view were you can find the VIN number for the car that your engine originally came in, it will be the LAST 8 digits of the VIN on the Dashboard:
