top fuel hemi engines they run 6:1 to 7:1 compression ratio venolia's or je's ... there's a reason for that.

with their supercharger pumping a TON of boost they dont need 10:1's

even with the 7:1's they run 90% nitromethane / 10% alky. the pistons are coated for the nitromethane
