Massive epic awesomeness.

Cool, not many 400 series trucks out there.
Mine was a Honolulu Fire Dept apparatus hauler, but with an industrial 318.
Short wheelbase, just like the one in the add, with a stake bed and lift gate.

Re the original truck

Wouldn't that be a FANTASTIC starting place for a hauler? Just imagine, a chassis / body with VERY low miles, dry CA "life" so very little rust, just sell that pig water tank yank the slant and put a bed on the back............

O' course, LOL, you'd have to stretch the frame on this one LOL

71 series Detroit in the cab over.

Nice Dodges!!!! In can't believe the water truck with the /6 doesn't have a 2-speed rear end.

It looks like it has a Dana 70 Rear, most likely has 5.13 or 5.38 Gears or possibly 6.17's. Top speed is somewhere in the 45-50mph range.

As a friend said, "The only things that kill cars in CA are collisions & the EPA"

The L-1000 is fairly rare, and apparently complete. Hope the right guy finds it. If I only had more space here...

How about a decent D500 to round out the collection:

That one could go car hauler with a little work.

Love the L-1000. The sound of that Detroit Diesel would be music to my ears.
