Taurus Fan Test. Need Feedback!

Loose or damaged permanent magnet. My guess. The variable resistance rotation camming effect is because the poles of the armature are passing the permanent magnet outer which is typical. It is likely a brush motor with wired armature / permanent magnet outer. Take apart the motor. Maybe the brushes are binding when rotated one way and not the other due to improper brush mounting or damage related. Just my speculations. If the clicks are in correlation to the camming resistance effect during rotation, I would say they are related. So, the camming effect is usually caused by simple magnetic attraction as the poles of the armature pass the magnets, this makes me think a magnet is loose.
