Does anyone make an intake for a megablower to go on a 360? I have a good deal on one but can't seem to find the intake to make things work. I don't even know if such a thing exists even after plenty of research.

check Indy Cylinder Heads , their Mod Man intake seems to be adaptable to any configuration .

think this was talked about a while back....might want to search for threads started by 1973dusterkid....

I used the ModMan intake from Indy. Be advised that the way it is sent to you it doesn't really work. The dizzy is in the way. It can be cured in one of two ways. You can order an offset dizzy and hope that you have enough room to the firewall. Or you can cut a half inch off the back of the mounting plate and also re-drill the mounting plate bolt holes a half inch. These 2 mods will give you the room you need. It only cost me another $100 after the purchase to get it to work and it is still real tight. Indy will not help you with this problem. They don't want to talk to you after they have your money. It is always a problem caused by the other manufactures parts, not theirs.

I was under the impression that the mega lower didn't mount to other blower intakes. Different bolt pattern or something

the ModMan is a base intake that accepts different top plates to handle different setups and I would think once you solve once you solve the problems Jack discovered you could just make a top plate that adapts to you blower .

If you use the ModMan, get it with no top. Fab up your own adapter plate as the MegaBlower uses a different bolt pattern than what Indy offers(6-71)
The snout and pulley selection will determine the placement of the MegaBlower, so you might be able to clear the distributor.
You will also have to machine a pad for a blow off valve.

What would I have to do to make that? Would it be reasonable to have a machine shop to make it?

take a look at the pics for the modman and you will see how it works , the top plate could be made with a sheet of steel and a drill pretty much

It would be nothing for a good machine shop to make a plate to bolt it on top of a standard 4 barrel intake.

Kinda like this.

This is how I would do it. Buy the ModMan with no plate. I'm not sure they offer it that way but you can try. Go to a machine shop and get them to make a plate that fits the intake and is big enough to mount the blower on. The fit on the intake is important. It must clear the dizzy and still seal on the intake. I would then take the intake and plate home and mount it on the engine to ensure proper fitment. Then I would set the mega blower on the plate and ensure clearance from the dizzy. Then I would mark on the plate where the blower bolt holes have to be. Then get the bolt holes drilled and tapped. You are all set to go. NOTTTTTT. Now you have to get a 90 degree adapter for the upper rad hose and figure out how to get the temp gauge sensor to work. These are just some of the problems you will encounter. Getting the proper fuel amount to the carbs is going to be your next chore.

The MegaBlower is 19.55" and a 6-71 is around 20" from the front of the gear cover to the back of the bearing cover. If you have access to the MegaBlower, perhaps bring a 6-71 base gasket to get an idea for a mounting plate. You might be able to use Indys 6-71 plate and just need to drill and tap new blower bolt threads, as the MegaBlowers bolt pattern is narrower than the 6-71. I would try to expose as much of the MegaBlowers discharge port as possible, as the 2 lobe blowers don't like restriction. The twisted 71 series rotors aren't affected as much by a restriction.

If you're worried about any restriction, mount it on a tunnel ram base. I just cannot see where even a single 4 barrel manifold could be a restriction in the first place.
