Open 741, Yukon Axles, Thrust Block

Question for you all, that I seem to find conflicting answers on. Will a thrust block in an open 741 interfere with my Yukon axles with green bearings?

I have a 3.92 SG in there now, thrust button removed, but in the next few weeks i'll need to tackle a 600 mile road trip and was thinking about throwing in my 2.94 741.

It depends on which ones you are using.

I "think" the ones with the clips can be used without removing the thrust block/buttons.

sorry, what do you mean by the ones with the clips? Its been a while since i've been in the rear end. #-o

I know this is a terrible thought, but has anyone ever just cut one of these off the spider shaft instead of taking the ring gear off? thinking I could pack rags around it, get the dremel in their and vaccum it up after and then pull the rags..
