I have a Holley one barrel carb on my 71 duster! How many carb kits are available for this carb? Anybody have a kit number I can reference at the parts store please?

Modern parts stores are a crap shoot but IF you get someone who knows what they are doing the very best way is to look up the carb kit BY THE CARB NUMBER Holleys are normally stamped with a LIST number

It is a 4 digit number with letter after it sometimes, and may have 'R-' in front of it. Look for a flat area on the body with stamped number inset in the metal; raised letters are not the list number.

In this photo of an early Holley 1920, it is on the flat area on the right hand side in this pix by the idle screws. On some other 1920's, it is on a flat area on the opposite side. (Sorry , I could not get this rotated for some dumb reason....)

This carb uses a 596 or533B kit from HYGRADE for the BBS carbs. The 4285 carb does not show up in my catalog, recheck the number so you have a R4351 for example, mrmopartech

The list number you have found is very likely 4285B, not 42858, but I can't find either. 4656 may be the actual list number; read through this thread discussing list number locations and kits for this carb: http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=234199

I can find a kit on Mike's Carburetor for the 4656 but not for the 4285B.

And the last time I looked for a 1920 kit a few months ago, the best listings I found was at Autozone, believe it or not. The accelerator pump shaft is one of the variables and sometimes you need to take the parts to the store and compare that part with what is in the kit. Mike's Carb kit are pretty good and include a few extra parts that others do not, and they have good videos. Mike's is the only pace I know that has new 1920 floats. Walker kits are a very often recommended brand.

Well i got the carb dunked, and i rebuilt it, set the float put it on and TA DA runs like a top, 750 rpm, just have to flick the key frome outside the car dont touch the gas. I love it.
