Trunk mounted battery/ rear seat firewall regulations/track legal....

Just make sure the box is "NHRA" approved. I'm certain the one BrianT pictured IS approved


I have yet to figure out how you find that out, an example...............

I don't figure I'll be going to the track for awhile, if ever, and I found a battery / box kit on CL for 60 bucks. According to the Noco site, "it might be" approved, but I doubt it. I can't find an "approved list" if it exists......................

but what I bought seems to be the same kit, and it IS NOT sealed. I don't see how it could possibly meet regs (Mine was actually the Summit kit, made by Noco)

On the other hand I've finally decided to by an Optima style battery (might go Trojan, no comments!!! pleauz) and so this one should be OK?
