confounded P/S Bracket need a second set of eyes eyes and your thoughts.

Well I have been trying to wrap my head around how to get the power steering pump mounted to the 340.

I've come to the conclusion that I may be the root of the cause of my troubles.

When rebuilding the engine (a 69 340), I used the cast iron water pump and the 70 and up timing cover. I picked up a Saginaw pump and the brackets thinking it should be a straight forward install but I cannot figure out how to hang this thing. It seems that the outlet of the water pump is getting in the way.

What am I missing? Do I need different brackets? How would you hang the pump
