who has the fastest 318 ?!!!

It is amazing that Ford fans will build the snot out of a 302 & MoPar guys disrespect a 318 like its a Chevy motor. The 318 should have no problem spanking the 302.

I really agree with this statement.....The teen's stroke, solid crank, and far better rods, do make it a no brainer. Both need help with the heads, but there are available castings that will equal out the difference, as long as you're comparing straight style wedge heads.

While there are some really strong running Ford 347's, the're virtual time bombs in my opinion. The rod/stroke ratio, and piston pin height is horrible.....Not to mention splitting the lifter valley in half with some real power, that usually needs boost or spray to get there.

That said, our 340/360 is so solid, and the ease of a 4" stroke kit, does tend to make the 273/318 engines somewhat obsolete when talking about the cost/time to get the same power.

P.S..... Oops :), RRR is not gonna like my post. Sorry Rob.....I do still love your mild/lightweight build. It is a solid platform for what you are looking to accomplish, and I'd love to do one like that myself. :thumbrig:
