There's a couple on Tamp craigslist.

Kinda pricey.

I remember about 15 years ago you could get them dirt cheap.

fwiw i have an FMC brake late, its a rotor/drum combo. its great, compact and good quality. is it an amco, no. but i would really recommend looking into FMC brake lathes if there are any local. i have the full set up with all tooling for drums and rotors. got it for $500

Thanks for the info. I've always used Ammco 4000 lathes but I figured there were others that are just as good. I'll keep my eye open for one.

I checked on some of those. One that is reasonable only does drums. A couple are priced a little high or doesn't have much tooling. Thanks for looking for me though.

I was looking for myself :)

Just happened to be the day you posted.

One of my friends bought one around 1993 for $50.

Disk and drum and all the guides and cutters.

There were a couple more trading around $150 at the time.

Wish I'd have bought one.

Roy, don't know what you want to spend but just did a search on the Macon Craigslist. Got a local hit for $800. If you contact them I can go look at it for you. Showed it to be in Hawkinsville.

OTOH, some of my recommendations have not been too good lately have they?

I'm on that one. I contacted the guy about what model it is, what kind of tooling goes with it and he is suppose to be sending me a picture or two. I'm in Perry right now and told him I would be heading his way on Friday. Hopefully it works out. And don't worry about the construction guy not working out. I solved that problem, I bought a 2012 park model from Atlanta and i traded the old camper for a Nissan Frontier XE quad cab for it.

Well we finally made a deal and I picked it up from him yesterday for 500.00.
