Proportion valve and Residual valve?

A P-valve has a set pressure reduction above the knee point. What you adjust with an adjustable is where the knee point it, not the pressure. Said differently, the pressure ratio both above (1:~.57) and below (1:1) the knee point is fixed, what you adjust is the point where the change happens.

I'd rather run or at least try an LBS before resorting to a p-valve.
