Problem with ply30 member

I know it seems simple to you guys -- but there are reasons this policy is in place. And, it is a policy that is in the classified ad rules, not something I made up yesterday.

You have to look at it from my position. I have to have a policy that applies in all cases.

For starters, I cant really know who did what to who and when. This person says he did this, this one says that. The FABO staff are not investigators, nor do I want them to be.

Out of the times people have complained so n so ripped them off, 9 times out of ten we eventually learn to find out it was some misunderstanding or something out of the other person's control. One guy, who people were screaming for me to ban because he stiffed several people, had a freaking heart attack and that's why he didn't get stuff out. He made good as soon as he could. Once, the complainer had given the seller the wrong address, and that caused a big delay in shipping. Point being, things aren't always as they appear. In all those cases people demanded that I ban the member.

I also want to point out that, to this day, ply30 has no negative feedback, not even from the op. I see a few people in this thread complaining about him being slow at times, why didn't you leave any negative feedback about him? Look at the first page, several people are talking about how ply30 is a good guy and always delivered.

In fact, people rarely leave negative feedback for anyone. And probably half the time they do they ask for it to be removed.

Anytime you do transactions like this, be it here or on another website, you are at risk of being burned. This is why people use things like Paypal, so that there is SOME level of protection should things go wrong. I don't want anyone to get burned, and it rarely happens that people actually get burned.

I know this looks cut and dried to you guys, and I understand why. Over the years I have learned, its usually NOT so cut and dried.
