1973 JF1 Cars

I just found this blog when googling for '1973 plymouth duster mist green.' Yes, the internet is wonderful. I recently picked up a 1973 lime green / black slant 6 225 on eBay. When it was delivered I did a tag decode and got a pleasant surprise. The car was actually a JF1 Gold Duster with white vinyl canopy and dark green interior. The original color is obvious around the very poor intermediate paint jobs. It is now in the shop to get new brakes and all the required mechanicals done. Sorry, I am not the 'complete DIY restorerer.' I'll do what I feel confident doing. The car is going back to factory specs at least by the fender tag (there are some rusted areas of the tag that are unreadable). I have not found a build sheet yet. I will post pictures as things progress.

So, why back to factory specs? The first car I ever bought was a brand new 1973 Autumn Bronze Gold Duster, when I got my bachelors. Except for color this is a direct match of that car, with all the same options. So you can call this a post mid-life (bucket list) dream of 25 years.
