Moser makes a fabbed 8.75 housing, at least they are supporting the 8-3/4 rear. No one else offers a housing for the 8-3/4.[/QUOT

Yes they do! I got one and its pretty damn slick.

Moser was sooo good when I rang them up with my 8.75 needs (asked ME the right questions for once, what an amazing vendor concept!). They clearly keep us Dodge boys in mind, especially A-Body folk doing BBP conversions.

...but, if I were going Dana at any point, Strange would likely get my business. Seen enough from this site alone to convince me.

Actually, Moser offers an 8 3/4" housing and axles, but doesn't offer a complete bolt-on rear-end kit on their site (I'm sure they would make one).

Strange DOES offer a bolt-on housing AND complete rear-end packages for almost any Mopar you could think of, including Dart, Scamp, Valiant, Duster... check their page for the latest.

I am not picking a fight with anyone, just want to make sure all the info is out there.

We're running Moser axles in our '68 Charger 8&4/4 and '67 Barracuda's Dana 60. Our Duster's Dana 60 is running Strange axles.

I had a ferd 9" in my 72 vega, a really hot 406 sbc,w/ 14 1/2 x32 slicks. the strange axles were twisted so bad they were very hard to pull out, when I wanted to change rear ends, but never broke and were in the car when I sold it.--------bob

I ran Strange 30 spline axles in my 65 B body. Worked for me.

I use moser 9" shafts in my Jeep Wrangler with 4.56 gearing and a detroit locker. Small block mopar 360 that is a mild build. I spin 39.5" tires that are 13.5" wide on beadlock steel wheels. Thats over 150lbs per tire. I have never broken a shaft bouncing the rear in 4 low. I even air down to 2 psi.

IMO you can't go wrong with either. I would go with whoever gives you the best price for the components you need.

I have 2 Strange S-60s for my Mopars, and Moser axle shafts in a heavy 4x4 which has seen a ton of abuse.

I choose Strange over Moser for my Mopar applications because of the upgrades that it has over the standard Dana 60.

Stupid poll. Both are American companies that will build exactly what you want. Pick one and go.

For narrowing housings.
I do myself (any welding shop should be able to handle it)

I went with moser axles because at the time they were the cheapest and easiest to deal with. Plus shipping charges were alot cheaper. This was over 6 years ago.

I run Moser axles but either one would be a good choice.

When you build your 489 case be sure to install a crush sleeve eliminator and a billet steel 1350 yolk.

My Barracuda has a Dana 60 with Strange axles, they had seen strip duty for a good 15 years before I quit racing. Am I the only one to bad mouth Moser ? lol

I ordered a set of custom length axles from Moser years ago. When I got them, they were to long and required some cutting, not what I expected for new parts. All part of the game I guess.

I have Moser axles in my 8 3/4 quality made pieces very satisfied with them...

Both are good companys

We use Moser, due to logistics
We call a few days ahead, let them know what work we need

Get there first thing in the morning
items are ready by lunch..

We just got back yesterday> Narrowed Dana housing, weld on perches and re-spline axles

It was Strange,, returning back in a body bag.
Due to sleet and rain, the cardboard box, wouldn't last long
