Easy im sure but HELP HELP HELP

First may I suggest that stuff like "easy answer" and !!!HELP!!! are not good titles for a thread.

Somewhere I saw diagrams for these............. There's a 79 here........ http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=24

Was this a "lean burn" setup? I think that complicates things a bit

Basically, most Mopars have TWO ignition sources, "run" and "start" or coil resistor bypass, used to be IGN1 and IGN2

I see in this 79 things have changed a bit

Does your starter relay have 4 or 5 terminals? Does it have "an extra" one called "bal?" See page 20 of that diagram

The BAL terminal of the start relay is wire J9 - 14 PK (PinK) NOTICE that it goes right up to the coil+ terminal of the ballast. In earlier cars / trucks, this wire comes from the IGN switch, and provides "hot" 12V in crank

In this diagram, "Ignition run" comes off the lower right of the ballast, wire J10C - 18RE (REd)

Notice it goes to a SPLICE immediately to the right. This is the 12V switched ignition feed, and supplies a whole bunch of "stuff"

Notice J10A -18RE goes up and feeds one pin of the ECU

Most these girls, the "run" voltage goes dead in cranking. This means you get no ignition voltage, except through the start circuit. I don't know if this is the case in the later trucks, or not
