Best Vinyl Dye

I used SEM Color Coat in Satin Black (PN#15243). I highly recommend it! I used it on all
the interior plactics, seat backs and steering wheel. It looks great and covers well.

As already stated, preparation is key. Here are the steps I took:
  1. Clean piece thoroughly with soap and water
  2. Take a red scotch bright pad to the piece
  3. Rinse again/dry
  4. Spray piece with adhesion promoter (let it set up for about 5-10 minutes so it softens the plastic/vinyl)
  5. Spray piece again with light coat of adhesion promoter just before you spray with SEM vinyl dye (It helps to bond the promoter and the dye)
  6. Spray with SEM vinyl dye
  7. Add addtional coats of vinyl dye if needed. (I usually do 2-3 coats)
*Do not use clear coat. It makes the black turn grey in color.
