Painted the 383 with single stage urethane outside the other day. Next I need to push the car outside and blast the engine bay for new paint. Also will pull the K frame and rebuild the front end and brakes.

More progress guy's. Finished pulling everything else out of the engine bay. The wiring harness's were dirty, but uncut anywhere and not all brittle. I took it outside and scrubbed it with some Spray9 and let them dry. looks like new after I spayed them with WD40. Pulled the K frame and suspension. Now ready for blasting from the doors forward.Ran out of media after I got about a third done. Will get some more media this week and some single stage GG1 Nason paint for the engine bay. Also bought some 74 Dart disc brake parts from a member on here to upgrade. My wife will probably be driving this car at some point , and I want it to stop for her. I'll save all the original drum stuff in case The car ever gets sold.

Thanks Guy's. I got some more blast media and paint, so I'm gonna try to get the rest of it blasted this week. I bought some RustBullet to treat all of the previously rusted areas.

Mitch that's lookin great. Is it just me or do them valve covers look familiar?

Great progress Mitch! I hope to see the car at the Mopar show at Budd's Creek maybe this year.

Getting closer to engine bay and fenderwell paint. Single stage Urethane in GG1 Dark Green.

Found out after I started blasting the engine bay , that the rust was worse than anticipated. Bought a new left inner while out at the Nats. Hopefully will get it outside this week to finish blasting front end. That Blair cutter is the Shizzit!!

That guy with the red sneakers should be working on something!

Good progress in the last few weeks. Got the rest of the car blasted from the windshield forward. Then treated ALL of the bare metal with Rustbullet. I checked the wiper motor for correct operation, and then restored it. I ordered all of the parts necessary to install the engine and transmission. Also ordered all of the chassis and brake parts to make the car operational after the drive train is installed. I rolled the K frame outside and completely disassembled it. I wish you all could see the amount of crap that came out of the inside of that K frame. There must have been mice in there eating nuts, for years !! Next, I will smooth out all the rust pits around the cowl and get the engine bay in color.

Great progress! How's the interior?

Didn't realize that I never posted pics of the interior. Dirty and dusty but in pretty good shape. Most important to me, at least, is the condition of the dashboard The pad is still soft and supple with no tears or cracks. Gauges are all present and faces look clean. Haven't checked switches yet , but will soon. GTS emblems are all there. Will need Seats recovered and carpet and so forth, but that's to be expected on a car this old. Console and shifter are all there, and seem relatively clean. Going to get the car under way before any interior work.
