Thing I hate most about my/all A-bodies

I'm head over heels in love with most everything Mopar. I count all Plymouth/Dodge/Chrysler/Desoto owners as sort of brothers in arms. I like A, B, E, and even C bodies. I prefer the muscle car years but appreciate them all. When it comes to complaints about A-bodies, I do have a few.

I hate that steering linkage runs through the header tubes.

I hate the water leak issue around the cowl area. (an issue with the B-bodies I've had too)

I understand that parts can be horrible to find (in part because production numbers were lower than brand X cars) but I hate that so many cars are being parted out because they're often worth more in parts than they are completed.

I hate that the brand X owners tend to look down on all Mopars like they're nothing special even though their cars are the ones that are 10 times more common.

I hate that most people will never understand the much greater lengths it takes to fix up, restore, or hotrod a Mopar compared to the vehicles out there that you can purchase all the new reproduced parts for.

I love to see cars that are restored but I hate that there are so many 'Mopar purists' out there that don't appreciate my modified cars. You don't seem to see that as much with the owners of other makes.

I hate the fact that NASCAR constantly made rule changes 'back in the day' that crippled Mopar's ability to dominate. Untethered, Chrysler's popularity with the general public might have eventually grown more instead of becoming a red headed step child of the American auto industry.

I hate the fact that small and big block transmissions don't interchange.

Yeah, I hate the small bolt pattern wheels like so many others. I also hated the left handed lug nuts.

The funny thing is that most of the things that I've listed on my 'hate' list are also part of why I love these cars too.
