Hi all!

excited to take delivery of a 73 Dart Swinger tomorrow....she's been in a farmers field for a bunch of years.... no idea what secrets she holds.

cant wait to spend too much time and too much money turning the old girl into something special again. Its been nearly 20 years since I applied wrench to rust

it has a 225 slant six.... wouldn't mind replacing the 225 with a 318.... any truth to the tales that it takes complete swap of the "K frame"??

I was born the same year as this car, and I cant wait to get together with Dad reminiscing about my first car, 74 Duster slant 6 that we pulled out of the field together!

Over the years, we rescued quite a few old A bodies!

I might have a few tricks up my sleeve to offer, but I sure could use the wisdom of the community in general!

long live Mopar

Welcome Dave and no you do not have to change the K member to put a 318 in. There are conversion motor mounts available.

Rust and Alberta just don't seem to go together..but it has been in a field...a 360 would be better...far more parts available than for the 318..just need conversion mounts..

Welcome from NS

Hey ! thanks everybody.

Swingers in the garage, dropping flakes of rust everywhere :) its pretty complete minus a salvaged coil...

I appreciate the welcome, I am thoroughly impressed by the incredible wealth of knowledge in this community.

I cant wait!
