Any 318 Performance tips?

68383GTS; your gonna like it. It'll not be a smoking fire frier but will motivate the car well.
In my '74 Duster, with stock heads, I slipped in a split duration Crane (272/284-.454/.480-112) with Cranes recommended springs. Stock converter & 3.21's. The 1979, 318 engine (long block) was a otherwise dead stock. The engine motivated the car well. Traction limited at the track. It still ran a 15.14 with a mild tune.

Other parts were a LD4B, 600 Holley, Hooker headers into a 2-1/2 Jegs exhaust.
It doesn't take much to wake up a 318 even with low compression.
