What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Got started on new fuel system from the fuel cell to the carb, next weekend I will rip out the trunk floor and rebrace it to hold the bigger tank and make a battery tray, just gonna go with one battery for the street since I will have an alternator. Will be putting in steel flooring in place of that thin tin the previous owner put in, their homemade fuel cell probably weighed 25 pounds at least LOL.

worked on the wifes Challenger, First time in the sun in seven years. Drove the cuda around as a support chase car.

I pulled the trigger and hauled home a rough 72 lancer 170 post car. has original bill of sale. $1700 odd dollars! a dollar bought ya more back then ya younger guys!!!! complete except rad, got to do same with 63 dart gt, its a roller but 98% rust free.
 
After 10 months
drove the White dart out of the shop today

Cut & drilled 1"x1" sq. tubing for mounting glass buckets,then painted.
 
Nice to see all the updates and progress being made!

Yesterday, I hooked my MSD 2-step along with the line lock and gave her a couple of tests.

Well, cruising season is almost done here in Minnesnowta...Looking forward to the big tear down and transformations that will take place this Winter! Using Mopars In The Park 2015 as my next goal. Hopefully, this time around I won't show up with bloody knuckles and fresh burns form headers and other mad-wrenching prep work! Made a lot of progress over the last year and thoroughly enjoyed beating the piss outta this car without breaking too many things! I now know the engine was built well and is tough! Planning to get in some track time next year, for sure just to see what she might do. :burnout:

Took her to car wash and blew off garage dust. Get fiberglass front hung then figure out how I want to put headlight buckets in it.

Replaced a weak fan clutch and changed out 2 of the bolts holding the shroud on, and then had to test drive it, and then let it sit in the driveway running, to see if temps stayed level and didn't creep up. Successful in all areas, cool.

Outside temps are nice this week, so more driving is in store.
 
Taking my new powder coated 8.75 housing, new 3.91 posi and new leaf springs and all hardware with disc brake setup to my shop to install on my barracuda so I can measure for the new drive shaft to be made.
 
Installing tubular K frame, tubular upper & lower control arms, coil over shocks, rack & pinion steering & front disc brakes
 
Make liftoff hinges for fiberglass doors then probably sit in it and make racecar noises till kids get off the school bus
 
Finally got around to pulling the front valance, bumper, and grill off my Swinger. The bad news is that pretty much everything is in worse shape (dents, cracks, etc.) than I thought it was, and one of the body screws broke off and I'll have to drill it out. The good news is the rust isn't too bad, looks like just surface rust, and I've already got some replacement parts I bought off a member here that are in better shape than what was on the car (whitepunkonnitro - thanks Tony!).

above the oil and water

So we can video and monitor the vital signs

Don't have time as we are running 6.84 et. so far

Nothing that was very productive tonight... Finished test phases with the new toaster console (the Pop Tarts rocked!) and messed with a photo a little.

Hey I have the same thoughts about the shifter on the console like that, I have the same shifter but no console and was thinking mount it on the original shifter hole...where the pop tarts come up. Are you using front or rear exit for the cable? Im running a PG trans at the moment so am set up to the rear, a 727 might be a winter project so will have to come out the front, I love that shifter, its so adaptable !!!
 
At KRP in Kearney, NE. Going to see if I can run in the 14's with my A56 4 speed like I did 45 years ago!

I have the front exit cable with 727 trans. Both were in the car when I bought it a year ago. The factory shifter arm sweeps back so it has more reach. The Cheetah shifter felt like it would be way to far forward if mounted in the same spot. Although I do plan to make a modified shifter handle that sweeps back a little and with a pistol grip mounted to it. I suppose you could do the same and make it sweep back even more.

Ahh I see what your saying, I will most likely be manual shift with either trans so yeah that would be too far forward just to cover that hole up. I could just make a new top plate and delete the original shifter hole then....winter project LOL, thanks.
