I would leave it alone, the intake just works, I have one on my old truck.
Excellent street intake on a 318 good torque and road manners.

I run a 625 street demon on mine, but your 1406 if it is fresh should also be snappy.

Sorry should have mentioned engine is stock.other than the 270s cam lifters springs dbl timing chain and gears. Piston are low compression. Im going to attempt to port match heads with the intake in the spring.
