Grizzly attack on hunter near Fernie, BC

Hmmm......
I worked in Fernie all through the '80s and there has always been problems with Grizzly bears in that area. The area where this actually happened is not too far from the ski hill, which has a lot of people living in the area.
A friend of mine is an RCMP officer that was stationed in Fernie for the last 10 years, and he said they have a big problem with bears even in town. He had to destroy 4 of them last year alone that were in people's back yards! They were black bears though.
I sincerely hope the guy makes a full recovery from this.
