relocating rear springs

I'm planning on relocating my rear leafs in my dart. I do have one question, by moving the springs and thus the shock plate inward 3 inches, does this require shorter shocks? I will also be dropping the rear about 1 inch with firm feel drop springs.

No, it won't affect it. The shock has plenty of room to compensate.

Here is an inboard kit, dropped 1.5" with whipped out springs.
