I am the lucky guy who bought the CrazyPete convertible.

It arrived last night in the dark, in the rain, on top of a car hauler from Nebraska. It is now in a nice cozy garage waiting for me to get home from work tonight.

Right now the engine (225) is not running (since 1982?) and the brakes don't work but it is perfect for me. I always wanted a Valiant, always wanted a /6, and more recently thought I wanted a convertible. 3 things checked off with one car! It took about 6 weeks altogether but there were things happening (or not happening) that were out of our control that delayed things.

I guess I should start a resto thread but for right now I just want to get it running, driving and stopping and go from there. October is not top-down weather in Northern Ohio anyway. Thanks Brian!

Nice score! That little valiant looks really solid. I like the color combo too. Shouldn't take much to get her running and stopping. October may not be top down weather, but if the top is decent and the heater works, you can still enjoy it before winter sets in.:burnout:

Damn, how I miss that one...just what I was looking for....NICE SCORE!

Nice score, Congrats.
Looking forward the the build

Thought it was a great car to start with

Good luck getting it road worthy

Glad someone here bought it, told my wife we needed to make a trip west, but have too many cars and not enough space so thank you for taking the temptation away

I'm glad she got a good home it's a great car I just have too many projects and a newborn baby

And if winter comes early, it already has snow tires.
