Alternator question

^^^ agreed. both bulkhead connectors, black in and red out, fusible link spade connector to red wire from ammeter are the ones that die first. and die as in melt and/or catch fire. in my rigs i deleted the red charge wire from ammeter to starter relay completely. also, i deleted the black charge wire from alternator to 5 inches from the bulkhead connector. installed 4 GA. braided stereo cable as a new charge wire from alternator, to starter relay, attached the original black charge wire to the starter relay lug (this is my dash feed, key, fuse box, etc) and did the same braided 4 ga. from starter relay to battery. i run a 60A in my dart, and a 80 amp squareback in my powerwagon. never had any charging issues.
