Hi Guys...Thanks to everyone involved here as its a helpful site. I have a 69 Barracuda...bought a donor for the brake swap...75 Dodge Dart 318...easy swap I thought but my spindles are tilted forward now and I marked the a arms and spindles when I removed them from the donor car ds & ps. Also it seems that the wheels turn much sharper right than left. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks again for a great site...John

First thing is, does your car have a factory sway bar? If so the spindles and calipers need to be switched side to side. The ball joints stay in their current position.

You turning radius could be how your tie rods ends are adjusted.

You tilt forward is caused by the adjustment of your upper control arms. If you look at the point to where they attach to the car frame/body you will see that there is slots. You may need to Moog offset upper control arm bushings to get a good alignment.

You Sure you have the UCA's correctly installed on their proper sides?
The red circled, "flat" portion, faces forward, on top of the rubber bump stop.

Here is a very good detailed write up about the swap that might help you.

A Body Disc Brake Swap 101

Ordering K7103 only has the bushings to do one upper control arm so you have to order two packages.

Also you can use this code for a 5% discount at Rock Auto so that will help you out. 2508238123397131 or 249328589308968 good until nov 2nd.

No factory sway bar on either car, and yes the flat spots are above the rubber bumpers. I like your first Swinger as I have a coup[le old muscle bikes. Thanks for the photos & info hopefully I can figure this out. My Bcuda is a manual steering car & the Dart has power steering...whats it take to install the power steering in the Cuda? Thanks again...John

Picture of bushing install below.

I also installed the large B body disc brakes on my 69 Barracuda. I also bought and installed the Moog offset bushings. I installed them as per the instructions shown in your post. After taking the car to the alignment shop it could not be properly aligned. I had to remove the bushings and re-install them "180 degrees out" of the way it is shown in the instructions. It was really confusing putting them in basically "backwards" from the way the instructions show BUT it solved the problem and the alignment guy had no problem aligning the front end properly. I don't know if anyone else has run into this problem but I did!!

I have heard this before. I am wondering if it has something to do with the fact that you used B-body parts?

Your steering column shaft is too long to bolt up to power steering. People do change out the shaft. The linkage on the 75 goes through the K frame where the 69 doesn't. I know you can change the K frame to the 75 style and the linkage will fit. The thing I don't know is if the splines on the 75 gear box and the 69 power steering gear box are the same. The joint on the pitman arm points up on the 69 and down on the 75 so the idler arm, center link and the pitman arm must be used of the same car. Maybe someone with a bit more knowledge will chime in on the spline question.

Post up some pictures of your muscle bikes when you get a chance.
