One of the wagons that I bought was extremly rusty in the C-post so I'm thinking of making it to a one-of-none Australia ute!

273 HP w/Offenhauser 2x4bbl with 4 speed. Red on red with Cragar wheels.

Found a great picture to start with. My plans would be to reuse the last 10inches of the roof and keep the rear window and make it electrically operated. Does any FABO member have any great pictures how it looks behind the seat? Was the seats from a 2 dr sedan or a bench from a 4 dr sedan?

Thanks FABO

After going through the wagon I'm more convinced then ever to build the ute!

You can see the rust in the C-post so that will make a great project. WIll start to measuring up the roof so I know where to cut.

I'm stillin need for Pictures showing the area behind the drivers seat.

Thanks FABO!

I have turned this priject into a father and sone Project. My son is gonna build a 30km/h car that kids can have from they are 15b years old. This car was so rusty and the rear roof and the last to posts that it was better to cut the roof and do the ute.

Tomorrow the slant six w/three on the column will go into the engine bay!

OK, here is some updates on the project. The body is looking for some outer wheel wells as well as some welding on the tail door.

Engine and tranny done and works perfect.

Cool. That´s one good looking "tralla".

IMHO. You need to something about the rear window. It´s too small.

Have you thought about using the C pillar/rear window/roof area from a 4 door for the rear of the "cab"? Given some thought to doing this myself...

here's a shot of roof line of a factory 67 ute....basicly the same body lines so my give some ideas

adding a fibreglass cab extension to include a third brake light...this is a Dodge version so came without the factory cab extension that the Valiant version came with...of course they didn't have the brake lights back in 67!

My wagon's C pillar on the passenger side looks like the one in your 3rd picture :banghead:

I know the feeling Don! It takes so much time to get it done. I'm just wainting for the outer wheel well panels so I can change that stuff!

I'd love to have a Ute and don't really want to chop the wagon up as I've already got the 66 Barracuda rear seats upholstered and safely put away in storage - yes, early Barracuda rear seats are a bolt it on a wagon!

It would be nice doing a "waggin" wagon! Using whatever Chrysler parts that fit. :burnout:
