AlV 69 Dodge GTS project

Dude, I like it because it's different. Screw all the purists out there.

Thanks! Me too!

I know this won't be everyone's cup of tea. I just think it looks great!.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right? it's what makes the world go round.

its your car man. your the one doing all the work and we all build them to our taste. my car isn't anywhere near stock and i think its "the bee's knee's". If you like it then run it. I wasn't knocking your ride was just my opinion.

We're good Younggun. I didn't take your comment as a knock at all.
I appreciate what you wrote, it shows that you looked it over and put thought into it like if it was your ride. I had been thinking about those inserts for a while :).

Please don't mistake my comment about beauty being in the eye of the beholder...making the world go a round, it was'nt intended to be a jab, it's was stated as a matter of fact.

We wont all agree on every thing, but we can appreciate it.

Since you pointed it out, how would you handle the inserts? :)

I think the hood stripe looks good!
Will you be doing the tail stripe also?

yo Al..... guess who made it to the party.....

and lets bring those awesome pics to the current page :D

Yessir, The black Bumble bee stripe will go on the back. I'm also putting the vinyl top back on.

I would do the bezels in black as well as the door handles and rear view mirror.

With all of the chrome and polished stainless trim going back on the car I'm wondering if the chrome inserts wouldn't look right at home.

I thought about painting the inserts black but the more I thought about the less I liked it.

The other thought I had is painting the inserts body color with chrome tips on the fins and call out surround then keeping the call outs black.

He's talking about the "Voice of the Roadrunner" purple horn.

LOL thanks for clearing that up.
That was the first time I heard that reference!

The Horn is a long way off. Once I get the car back in the garage I'll focus on the windows and associated mechanisms then wiring.

When I get to that bridge I'll have to decide whether to go with the Year one stuff or upgrade the electrical system to Ron Frances or AAW.

I couldn't sleep last night so instead of counting sheep I cleaned up the viscous clutch and fan.

Yep this one is going to passion4mopars to be restored.
