I have to install a 5" tach/shift light that I have, into my Duster, that has a non rally dash. I'm very curious to see where the best position might be. a good position to see the other gauges, and to be able to use the heater, and defrost. I was considering making a bracket, and hanging just right of center dash below the dash pad a bit, pointed at the driver. I really hope some of you guys will share your photos, please do ?

do you have a dash pad still? There is a slip on tach mount that slides under the dash pad, and works very well to keep it in your line of sight.

No need to mount the tach and shift light together, we have our tach below dash and the shift light mounted on the door runner part of the roll cage its out of the way and very easy to see and then we can check the memory of the shift points to keep it accurate. Sorry no pic my car is back at my home in Florida

Not a race car but here it is.

My tach is in the dash. I have an MSD shift light mounted on the A pillar. It's so bright you can't miss it. I never look at the tach, just shift when the light comes on.

Here is mine, my next one will be on the column.
