I'll post a pic tomorrow, but: on the 65 barracuda with blue interior, there is a piece of soft plastic trim that run across the dash top, against the rubber windshield gasket. I don't recall ever seeing this piece in any of my other early A's. Why? no clue. maybe it was always removed.

This one is kinda mangled and distorted. I will probably just remove it. anyone else notice this trim piece?

Yep my very early 64 cuda has one, it is gold to match the interior It had a few minor sun kinks in it not as bad as your picture. I fixed mine with some pinch clips and outside sun baking for days and days ... looks good now. Most of them got thrown away upon windshield replacement.

I must be lucky because mine was perfect. it's color coded as stated but goes all the way across the windshield unlike the pic shown which appears to be cut. From my recollection you will need to install prior to putting the glass in, it fits in a slot in the rubber gasket. It's purely a decorative item, it hides the gasket to glass junction. If the glass was ever replaced by a shop, they probably tossed it because it's a PITA.
