Cool deal, Joe-depending on what heads you use, you'll be anywhere from 9.5-10.4ish...you have any ideas on which ones you want to use?

Good to hear you found something ahead of summertime Joe.Keep up the good work.

autozone was having a 20% sale with free shipping so I decided to bite the bullet and scoop up some dougs ceramic coated headers. I really don't know what to do about my heads yet. given the specs in the previous posts. What would some of you do?

Personally I would post an ad looking for either RHS or Eddy heads. Some members change direction on their builds, which leaves parts on the shelves. Some just sell off and get out of the hobby due to financial problems.I bought my Eddy heads here NIB a lot cheaper than new.Just a thought...Good luck Joe.:D

Well Ive been making leaps and bounds on the scamp. I don't have pictures of everything but I ordered a Brand new Hurst shifter, new side view mirrors, new hurst shifter handle, brand new dougs ceramic coated headers, new front bucket seats, repainted the dash frame, welded subframe connectors in, detailed the whole underneath of the car re-undercoated everything, touched up the rear and repainted it. picked up some skinnies for the car....well actually I stole them . Ive for the most part finished ordered everything I need for the motor, Im waiting on the gasket kit and head gaskets and hopefully assembly will begin. Im starting to get excited the car is finally coming back together. Check out one of my Christmas gifts! My parents had this made for me it will really help set my car apart from others at shows I think. Oh and we bought a lift so working on the mopars will be so much easier!!!:blob:

Cant wait to put the shiny new heads on !!!

Looking good, can't wait to see it running again.

battery hold down came I installed that, along with finally finishing modding my dash so I can use a chrome bezel in the dash for the ignition switch. Same as my dads 67 barracuda. Now Electrically everything should be sound which I'm happy about. Also picked up a brand new Holley 670 for the 340. At this point in time I am gathering parts to assemble the 340. I believe I have everything except rockers....still trying to figure out what to do. Any suggestions?

For rockers?

Harland Sharp, maybe? 273 rockers work really well when you upgrade them with the Crane adjusters.

I haven't had luck locating new hardware for my trunk lid trim. Can anyone help me out. Here are some pictures I snapped. Im trying to locate and order all the small misc items while I wait to assemble my motor. I really hope someone can help me out with this one its driving me crazy!

Well I haven't had much time to update this thread Ive been getting killed with overtime lately. The car is driving now. It definitely puts a smile on my face now cruising down the streets. She turns heads everywhere I go. The motor ran great for at first then I had a sudden drop in oil pressure.....It turns out the bolts for the bottom of the fuel pump started to back out and the shaft wasn't turning the gear so I lost pressure. I killed the engine right away and luckily the bolts only backed out, not that they got tossed around in the rotating assembly.

So after I lost pressure we put the pump back in and she ran good. Then I had a ticking on the top end of the motor I pull the valve cover and find out that I had a collapsed lifter, no big deal you would think. I would buy brand new lifters swap them all out and then no problem. So I bought brand new lifters and pushrods but learned to discover the cam was now wiped out. Luckily I happened to have a brand new cam laying around for a smallblock so we tossed it in and now the motor runs flawlessly. I can now see why everyone loves 340's :) I still have yet to paint the hood and put it on, but I guess that's a good thing because I cant find my hood hinges.

My only other problem now is I think the trans is on her way out. 4th gear is a little noisy and the transition from the clutch thrown in to pulling out in 1st there's a really bad vibration but then she's fine once you get above 5 mph.

Heres a pic someone snapped of me when pulling into a local show. Hope you enjoy

I see you haven't found any turn signals yet here's some for you

well I took the scamp out for a quick ride today and I was around the corner from my house and the transmission decided to go "BOOM"..... this sucks nobody local have anything....located in long island.

Remember to check the spigot bearing in the crank! You may get vibrations then if its missing... Nice car! Hope you soon get a new transmission and may (ab)use it:) best wishes

Dang Joe I sure am sorry about that. Stick with it though, you'll get it sorted back out. You got a lotta hard work in that car and it really shows.

well I decided to pull the cover off the transmission to check it out and see what happens before I drop it off at a local place to be rebuilt. To my surprise it appeared that there was nothing wrong. no damage, no broken teeth off gears or metal sitting in there. So I had a few local buddies look at it came to the conclusion that there was nothing wrong mechanically with the transmission.

Then we unbolt the bellhousing and find out that the clutch decided to hand grenade between the flywheel and pressure plate. Luckily the flywheel was not damaged. I should of known better than to throw a pretty well built 340 at a stock clutch but hey we live and learn from this kinda stuff. So I ordered a new much stronger clutch and pressure plate and Ive been able to enjoy the car the last couple of weeks :) :burnout:

Yea its really nice to get behind the wheel again with it. I have a few issues to address over the winter. I'm specifically looking for the window fuzzies. Anything I search for comes up 67-72. Can anyone help me out with that ?

Most recent pic. Tried uploading from my cell phone hope this works.

Joe ask and you shall recieve on the 74 they are more of a felt or rubber (window sweeper kit) than a fuzzie and a real pain to change on the plastic pieces
