8.25 Rebuild

When I built my 8.25 I got new axle seals, fresh plain oil, bottle of Mopar additive, and new cover gasket. I already had the 3.55 gears, so I didn't need to change out the pinion shaft, just put the old ring gear on the new carrier.

You can buy various rebuild kits for the 8.25, depending on the level of rebuild. You will need a tool to adjust the carrier bearing adjusters and a dial indicator to measure backlash. You will also need some yellow paste to check the gear mesh.
