well fellas ive been a truckin for alittle while now I really enjoy it the only downside is little hometime. atleast at the end of this month my family gets to go for a ride with me. 3wks ago on my last hometime I was able to get my demon parts car with the drive train for my dart (pics to follow later in day). I would have got on here then and showed it but was busy with the wifes new car in which we got on the same day I got the demon, she got a 86 monte carlo ss ( ill include pics of that aswell) but in order for me to work on my toys I had to work on the wifes first (brakes, tune up, window motors, etc ) you know the saying the wife aint happy nobody happy. I did however manage to sneak over to the demon and atleast take the top half of the motor apart to atleast give me a idea of how my block is and I have to say im quite please to say I have a virgin 340 block that hasn't been bored, a nice ld340 intake, "X" heads along with a set of redone small valve "J" heads in which I plan on doing some trading with for some other stuff i'll need. I still need atleast another cup of coffee then i'll get to it. pics to follow later on today

heres acouple of my wifes monte

then heres my dart awaiting the transplant and my 50.00 no crack steering wheel

Dang cool!! wow it has been awhile, good to hear you are enjoying your work  and just look at that demon parts car, stuffed full  welcome back :coffee2:

enjoy the pics I wish I was able to get some from where the demon was sitting the thorn bushes almost claimed it. i'll be able to post more pics since we have a working camera. my plans for today is to start tearing it down im still undecided to part it out or keep whats left and turn it into a automatic for my son.

glad to hear from ya mike!! its a blast to see this great country from a windshield cant wait till next month when my 10 yr old gets to experience it I have a feeling he might like the first 200 miles or so then the dreaded "are we there yet?" might come into play

well everyone it was a fun hometime, time to go back out for another three weeks. im gonna pull the drive train out of it then. hopefully the pollen count is down my allergies are all messed up from just being outside removing some stuff of the front of the car. once I get everything I want off of the car i'll post more pics of whats left and see if theres anything you guys might want so far Crackedback has 1st dibs on the tail lights. see ya all in another three weeks

The Demon, it had/has the air cleaner for a 340 inside, is that whats in it? Needs a little work but that's why there called project cars, right?

As I know your sure of, but with the heads off that motor, (IF it still or did run) check to see if there is any pitting on the cylinder walls and or deep scratches, you may need to over bore just a bit, whats your engine plans for this fine build?

GREAT to see yet another Mopar up an coming to life again!

well im home again. while I was gone I found out some thieves broke into my storage unit, all of my tools (snap on) are gone. besides what I grabbed the last time I was home. over 15k gone. very upsetting yes. but hasn't deterred me from what I wanted to do this weekend. I did however manage to get my motor and trans pulled from the demon after I took the motor up to carquest and the nice machine shop mechanic let me use his harmonic balancer puller (since mine was stolen). I was able to come back home and for my sons birthday we both sat out side and tore apart the rest of the motor just shy of using clubs and stones. my 340 motor turned out to be a early 70 block! with the casting date 12/11/69 one day and five yrs early from my birthdate 12/12/75 . today after we get back from the amusement park we'll finish taking the rest of the motor down to a bare block then off to a machine shop in 21 more days. more pics to follow. I must say for sitting as long as it did with no oil in it (no oil filter or oil in the pan) the internals are rust free and not locked up

67 power wagon - I got this demon for the drive train for my swinger. I removed the heads pryor to taking the pics. so far as I can tell there is no piting or scratches in any of the cylinder walls. a very small lip that really don't catch a finger nail the pistons look to be a standard size as I don't see any over bore stampings at all. my plans for the rest of this demon are parts, after im done removing the stuff I want I hate to do it but it has a lot of rust and will need a lot of metal replaced. my plans for the drive train build is going to be simple nothing radical. mostly stock with alittle bit bigger cam something around the mid 280 - low 290 duration that should make it sound pretty good. I know with the 4spd I could go alittle higher but I plan on driving this as much as I can while im on hometime from trucking

Here is some pics that I have from the demon and the steering wheel in dart is the rallye wheel that is for sale
