Welcome. I'm actually the friend who talked him into these. Apparently the ride in my car and getting to sit in the driver's seat was enough. And that was with the stock-ish suspension.

That car is currently a 225 Slant Six/Auto/AC/7.25 car. The car looks to be in great shape other than the rear 1/4's behind the tires and the spare tire well.

Hey that sounds familiar! My car started out as exactly the same thing, minus the AC. :D

Honestly, the more I work on these cars the more I realize that starting with a /6 car isn't all that bad. Sure, the entire drivetrain needs to be replaced, but honestly, if you're going to go past the putt around the block level most of it needs to be at least gone through, if not rebuilt or replaced anyway. Might as well save money up front by getting a nice clean no option, nothing fancy /6 car and build it the way you want it.
