I received a Dremmel from my parents for Christmas last year. A couple of months ago it quit working. I dug out my paper and called the service number. Explained my situation and they said send it back. I did this Monday and got it yesterday fully repaired and a free attachment for my troubles. Thank you Dremmel for doing business the way you are supposed to.

I agree, they are a company that doesn't give you any problems in returns for repairs on their products.
They have repaired, replaced, my Dremels a few times in the past, no questions asked, no charge.

Damn it!!!!!! My dremels only last me about a year and I just go buy new ones pretty sure Im on 4 of them... I never thought to get a hold of them.. Its always the motors that burn out. The brushes are good. I will for sure remember this. Thanks for the heads up

Glad to hear they stand behind their products, actually put one on my Xmas wish list for the Ol' lady.

Cheapo china crapola one I bought at Pep Boys took a dump a few months ago, but lasted almost a year.

Standing behind a product is good but I sure wish manufacturers would just build better stuff.

That's neato. I had trouble like that with a Hitachi cordless impact I got from Lowes a few years ago. BOTH lithium ion batteries went bad within the first year. I called them and they said box up all of it and send it in. About two weeks later, I had it all back with two brand new batteries. It's been working great ever since. Best cordless tool I have ever owned in fact. I highly recommend them. I love good customer service.

X2 .....mine are always the dam switches that stop working.....even hooked a toggle switch to one to get it to work.....The last one I bought lasted about 8 months and I said enough, I am not going to buy a dremel anymore...POS....I use my air die grinder now...They can KMA

If you want a GOOD quality dremel type tool, look on ebay for old jewelers or dental cable type drills.

I'm on my 3rd Dremel. Have sent them all back and they send a new one. One was 2 years old.

My almost-20 year old workhorse original Dremel finally gave out a couple years ago. It too was replaced with an upgraded model at no charge. I was very impressed with the customer service and speed of the return, and it's been working like new ever since. :-D

I think the warranty is 2 years. My first dremmel lasted quite a few years before it crapped itself.

I remember back in the 1970's matching my 273 cylinder heads with the intake manifold gaskets using an electric Dremel tool and various attachments. It got very hot, but never quit on me; polished the combustion chambers, too. Now I need a similar tool again, but read many reports on the internet reviews of the motors burning out. Is there a similar type tool out there that has a better reputation/better quality build? Going shopping tomorrow. Thank you.
