Restoring 340 John's old Dart

-
Haven't really been working on the car itself. My auto repair business keeping me busy, thankfully. Putting in 12-13 hour day's and by the end of the day I'm wet and cold from snow dripping on Me. Just wanna get home by the fire and warm up. Right now though I've been restoring some parts, Dash, rear, etc. The only thing I have left on the car is the left lower quarter, just needs a patch and then block it and paint. By the way I put a thread on here wondering if anyone has pic's of a rear with all the markings, mine had some, but I know theres others I couldn't find.

I hear you about the cold and wet as I work on plow trucks for a living. LOL

I know I've seen rear diff. markings somewhere, but can't remember if it was here or maybe 340Swinger.org.

Hey John how are you doing? No I haven't had the time or motivation to work on the car. The shops been busy and I've been putting in long hours. The body is 90% done just needs a few more things and be painted. I decided to start selling alot of My spare parts and think I'm going to have My friends body shop finish it. One thing I found out things look good until you walk away from it and go back you find out its not good enough. Sometimes it sucks to be so Anal , but if it's not right I wont be happy, that's why I sold My 71 Demon. I'll keep you posted.

Thank you for the update...I have been wondering about the car. With the help of new meds, I was feeling somewhat better, but my migraines are worse. Thank you for asking.

Jim that looks GREAT. I know you'll do John proud. Is that your camera lens...or am I seein spots?!@#$!@#@#@!

It was the camera. I'm gonna take some new pictures soon. Right now I'm working on the hood. I want to send the car to a friends body shop but he's busy working on accident cars.

Well Jim, looks like you're doin a fine job. Spots and all. lol

I was cleaning out my closet over the weekend and I found a picture that was taken around 1990 of the Dart parked next to my buddys 1968 442. It was right after the Musclecar nationals at Atco NJ. I saw a Limelite AAR and just had to have my car that color. I went home, put it in the garage, pulled it apart and painted it green with the flat black hood. I know when you took it apart you found green paint under the red in some places. Have you had anytime to work on it lately ?

It did have lime and yellow paint. No unfortunately I haven't had the time to do any work on it. I did take the engine apart and I am rebuilding it. I ordered the pistons and cam, i already have the other parts. I decided the only change I'm going to make is bucket seats. I'm trying to get a body shop I know to dial in and paint the car, body work is basically done. I just cant seem to find time to work on it. I'll keep you posted.

Jim, found this one the other day. This was taken in '88 I believe.

Hey Jim, haven't seen or heard anything about the Dart for a long time. Did you finish it? Did you sell it? What's going on.
