My '73 318 A/C Dart, when I bought it, had front discs w/4.5" boltcircle and a 7-1/4" axle with 4" boltcircle and unmanly 9" drums.
Not sure why but someone probably swapped some parts in the past.

I would bet that your car's rear diff was replaced at some time with an earlier sbp one.
All a-bodies from '73 to '76 that had bbp front disc brakes from the factory had bbp rear ends in them. Some were 7 1/4'' and some were 8 1/4''
Then you automatically got the good 10'' rear brakes.
