If you've swapped a 66 or later transmission into your 65 or early early A, then the original speedometer cable won't work. Your need a 66/67 cable to mater with the later transmission speedometer pinion adapter and the early A speedometer. I've got 2 here; I was using the black one in my 65 Dart and the one with white paint on it came out of a 66 Barracuda (still has the firewall grommet attached. Got my wife to hold it so both ends could be seen. $20 plus shipping from 22657 - your choice.

Could use one of your cables. I'm pulling my 65 904 out this winter and putting newer 904 in by Spring. Want to send a pm to me or I'll send one to you with details?
 
I have found 1 more A Body cable and a longer 66-67 B Body cable. Other than the one with white paint on it (66 A Body one),none of the others have a firewall grommet on them. The one with the white paint is sold pending payment.

EDIT - I found one more A Body cable for a total of 4 plus a 66/67 B Body cable.

Of the 4 66/67 A Body cable I now have, all 4 are tentatively sold pending payment. Should one of those 4 opt out, Kmrumedy is next in line.
