Oil leak, rear intake..clean & silicone ?

Has anyone had any luck sealing an intake leaking oil at the back, by cleaning the surfaces, and applying silicone ? When I installed my intake, I did not use the end gaskets/ and just used silicone (thought I used enough). I really do not want to pull my intake..again.
